At Flowodo, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mind mapping application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up using Google Sign-In, we receive:

• Your name and email address
• Your profile picture (from Google)
• A unique identifier for your account

Mind Map Data

When using cloud storage features, we store:

• Your mind map content (nodes, connections, labels)
• Images you upload to nodes
• Map names and metadata

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage data to improve our service:

• Feature usage statistics
• AI generation metrics (token counts, not content)
• Error logs for debugging

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service: Store and sync your mind maps across devices
• Process Payments: Handle subscription billing through Stripe
• Improve the Product: Analyze usage patterns to make Flowodo better
• Customer Support: Help you if you contact us with issues

3. Data Storage & Security

• All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
• Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
• We use Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in
• We never store your Google password

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, database, and file storage
• Stripe: Payment processing (we never see your full card number)
• Google Gemini AI: AI-powered mind map generation

5. Your API Key (Free Tier)

If you use Flowodo free with your own Gemini API key:

• Your API key is stored only in your browser's local storage
• We never send your API key to our servers
• API calls go directly from your browser to Google's servers

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share data when:

• You explicitly share a map via a shareable link
• Required by law (e.g., valid legal request)
• Necessary to process payments (Stripe receives billing info)

7. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data retained as long as your account is active
• Deleted maps: Removed within 30 days
• Cancelled subscriptions: Mind maps retained for 90 days, then deleted
• Account deletion: All data deleted within 30 days upon request

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and data
• Export: Download your mind maps as JSON files
• Correct: Update your account information

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only:

• Authentication session cookies
• Local storage for app preferences

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Flowodo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the app or via email.
